North America Sales Manager

Summary of Position:
The Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and executing the company's sales strategies, driving revenue growth and nurturing customer relationships.
As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets, while also identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
This position will partner with key leaders in the organization to formulate and implement long-term sales strategies as well as create tactical plans to achieve desired sales targets.
Major
Responsibilities:
Responsible for driving the overall performance of the Sales/Sales Support functions within the SST (Switching and Sensing Technologies) product line in North America Accountable for meeting Sales revenue growth, profitability and expense targets.
Foster a high-performance sales culture, setting clear expectations and promoting teamwork and collaboration Drive sales forecasting, analysis and reporting to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Ability to control margins while generating revenue; possesses financial acumen and will maintain a deep understanding of key operational issues, trends, and strategies.
Monitor market trends, competitive activity and industry developments to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
Development and maintenance of customer relations leading to customer satisfaction; including quality of work, project status, negotiation, workflow and resources, manpower and other organizational responsibilities.
Increase and strengthen the market share of the company and position the group as a favorable brand in the market.
Prepare monthly reports describing current and expected future market conditions.
Will include sales forecasts, margin estimates, sales funnel, shipment expectations, etc.
Develop a training pipeline for future sales team growth and enhancement of current sales team knowledge.
Promotes a positive image of Standex Electronics to customers and the industry in the region.
Ensure highest ethical standards across the division and full compliance to the group code of conduct Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to monitor, measure and establish sales KPI's and standards Demonstrated ability to create a technical sales strategy to drive top line sales growth.
Multiple years in leading, motivating, mentoring and growing a team Experience working in Industrial or Manufacturing markets/products preferred Experience in the electronic components business (with standard and customized products) a plus Strong direct and interactive computer skills (with MS products) Demonstrated strong technical leadership and analytical skills.
Educational Requirements/
Experience:
Requires a minimum of 5 years' management or sales leadership experience Requires a BS degree, or equivalent, in a technical related discipline, MBA or equivalent degree Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships Proficient at communicating to people at all organizational levels Strong desire to succeed in a demanding, innovative, and entrepreneurial environment.
